NORCAT is a private, non-profit organization that develops and provides world-class programs, services, and resources to reduce injuries, save lives, and enhance productivity in the workplace. To accomplish this, over the past 20 years we have worked with our clients and partners to develop an array of in-person and on-line eLearning training programs to serve multiple sectors both in Canada and around the world.
Our training programs are designed to ultimately enhance the productivity, health, and safety of skilled labourers around the world ensuring everyone gets home safe after work. Our programs range from general supervisor training, fall protection, mining common core, confined space, to general mentorship training / development, WHMIS 2015, and contractor orientation among many others. Our unique and proprietary cloud-based RFID-enabled training record management system enables our clients to manage training records, ensure on-site compliance, manage employee workflow, and integrate with corporate ERP systems.
NORCAT has worked closely with various government ministries and corporations to assess, review, and make recommendations related to health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Our global experience and partnership with Laurentian University’s Centre for Research in Occupational Safety and Health (CROSH) and the recent launch of our Mining Equipment Simulation Centre is the basis for our Global Centre of Excellence in Training and Development / Health and Safety. Our research “think tank” and in-the-field “do tank” combination provides us insight into leading practices that enables us to make incremental improvements in our curriculum and program delivery to ensure we are providing our clients with the best possible solutions.
From a client perspective, NORCAT has worked extensively with leading companies in North America, Africa, and South America including Vale, Goldcorp, Ontario Power Generation, Suncor, Glencore, Redpath, Cementation, Barrick Gold, Health Sciences North, Stantec, Hatch, among many other leading organizations across a variety of sectors.
