NORCAT now features a unique and user-friendly training experience that literally puts you in the driver’s seat of various mining machines and allows you to learn in a safe and secure environment.
At the heart of every CYBERMINE mining simulator is a simulated cab, a highly realistic replica of the actual mining equipment, with fully functional simulated instruments and controls. The replicated cab is mounted on a motion platform and surrounded by a 360° panoramic, high-resolution projection display system with surround sound audio. The operation of sub-systems, such as engines, braking systems, hydraulics and drilling heads is mathematically modeled to original manufacturer specifications to provide accurate, realistic feedback to the user. Operator observation vigilance and procedural knowledge is constantly tested, honing skills to encourage safe, productive operators.
The simulator encourages operators, both new and experienced, to gain added experience in a true-to-life, non destructive environment that can target certain areas. All experiences on the simulator can be tangibly measured via a printed report to show progress and improvement.
SANDVIK LH 514 LOADER and CAT R1700 LOADER.
State-of-the-art CYBERMINE LHD simulators allow operators to perform safe and effective training in mucking, hauling and dumping skills and coping with underground emergency situations. The 3D mine world comes complete with tunnels, loading points, chutes and dumping areas. Artificially intelligent ADTs, LHDs, drill rigs and miners exist in the world in support of the LHD operator training and evaluation process.
