Sudbury, ON – April 8, 2025 – NORCAT and Northern Ontario Angels (NOA) are thrilled to announce the return of Venture North PITCH 2025, set to take place on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Collège Boréal in Sudbury, Ontario. This premier event aims to connect Northern Ontario entrepreneurs with accredited angel investors and industry leaders, fueling innovation and economic growth across the region.
The evening will begin with a keynote presentation by Craig McLellan, Founder & CEO of Think On Inc., followed by a networking session featuring appetizers, beverages, and live music. The night will then continue with the highly anticipated PITCH competition, where selected finalists will present their ventures to a panel of esteemed judges, competing for cash prizes and potential investment opportunities.
"Last year’s event was a testament to the vibrant entrepreneurial spirit in Northern Ontario," said Ian Lane, Executive Director at Northern Ontario Angels. "As we celebrate Northern Ontario Angels' 20th anniversary in 2025, we’re especially proud of the role we've played in supporting these ventures. Angel investing continues to be a catalyst for sustainable growth and innovation in our communities, and events like Venture North PITCH are key to building those vital connections."
PITCH has long served as a launchpad for early-stage companies in the North, offering a unique opportunity for founders to showcase their innovations, gain valuable feedback, and build investor relationships. Many past participants have gone on to achieve national and international success, thanks in part to the visibility and momentum gained through this experience.
"At NORCAT Innovation, we are committed to helping startups access the resources, mentorship, and connections they need to thrive," said Brendan Skiffington, Manager of NORCAT Innovation and Sudbury Catalyst Fund. "Venture North PITCH 2025 offers a platform for these innovators to showcase their ideas to potential investors, accelerating their business goals. Past winners' success underscores our region's immense talent and potential."
