COVID-19 Community Update

To our NORCAT Customers, Clients, and Community,

Given the continuing COVID-19 global crisis, I wanted to provide an important update on NORCAT’s current state of affairs and our evolving plans going forward. Please keep in mind, we are working in unchartered waters and our plan will evolve as new information comes to light.

First, I want to ensure our community and customers know that we are open for business. However, at this stage, all training must be booked and registered in advance in order for our customers, clients, and trainees to be able to access any ofour training facilities in Ontario. Although our scheduling of program offerings will be somewhat disjointed over the coming months, we feel it is important to do our part and ensure we can offer the programs and services to ensure workers have the right skills tobe both productive and safe on the job – all day, every day.

Second, for our customers, please be assured that as an organization rooted in health and safety, we have modified the delivery of all programs with enhanced health and safety parameters. For registration, please refer to our website registration portal at https://www.norcat.org/register/ or please call your local office to book.

Third, we encourage all our customers to explore our catalog of on-line training and development programs. We know that many students or workers might have the capacity to complete relevant, required, and helpful training that you will need once the economy begins its revival. Our programs can be accessed via our on- line training catalog portal at https://norcat.org/training/registration.html. For any technical questions, please contact 705-521-8324 Ext. 450

Next, our Advisory Services group, Studio NORCAT, NORCAT Innovation, and our Underground Centre are operating and engaging with customers. Please refer to our website to connect with representatives from these departments.

Last, for those customers interested in our Underground Hardrock Common Core, Diamond Driller Assistant Common Core, Surface Miner Common Core, Equipment Simulation Training, and Forestry Development training programs, please be advised these programs are up and running. To register or learn more, please contact our Sudbury office at 705-521-8324 Ext. 301.

Thank you for your understanding and continued trust as we manage through this time together. This is a very fluid situation and NORCAT urges everyone to follow the guidelines and protocols put forth by public health officials to keep our workplaces, families, and communities safe and healthy.

Regards,
Don Duval | CEO NORCAT | dduval@norcat.org
